Quite a good film that essentially documents the three amigos ( Parody, Kinder and Graham) trip to Europe. It really displays the immense drive these guys have and becomes quite infectious watching the excited climbers in action.
On a whole, the footage is pretty good. Speed (5.14d) is an amazing piece of footage. Dave Graham literally slithers his way up a 35m slightly overhanging limestone face. Definently the highlight of the film for me.
However, it was dissapointing to see only the "crux " shown on lesser graded routes. Especially at Ceuse. The maker of this film has a habit of butchering footage, and this is a little frustrating. Fortunately there is plenty of other worthwhile footage contained throughout.
Not bad, but far from a classic. |
