I was quite excited when I herd about this film as it had all the ingredients to make a spectacular film. In reality the opposite is true...

Maybe I was spoiled by the footage in Dosage 2, but the camera work in this film is ordinary. With lots of the footage taken from the boat (bum shot limited intrest) and a few shots straight into the sun the camera work could have been improved however the footage from abseil is much better and some of it is really really good!

The sound track isn't too bad there are plenty of modern tunes to bop your head to however for a little while I thought it was going to revert into a dance music spectacular, thankfully it doesn't.

The climbing being done is really good, lots of hard and lots of easy but there is a fair bit of film is wasted on boats floating around and slack lining between two jetties.

Depth charge is more of a well edited home movie with plenty of non climbing shenanigans than a good professional film. I guess this is a good effort for a first attempt, but for a film where there are so many outstanding climbers in such small area on such amazing routes a professional film maker has the potential for the best vid ever!

The repeat viewing, except the last 5-10 mins, is small. Get an eye full of Simon Carters photos from the same trip, there much better.
