A jam packed glossy overview to climbing in Western Europe. This publication contains a lot of info and it uses a lot of symbols to convey the information. Initially it takes some time to get the hang of the symbols but a convenient symbol guide at the front and back helps. examples of the type of info is: Rock type, walk in time and angle of approach, crag altitude, no of routes, % of routes in each grade (fontainebleau) and this is just the beginning. The guide has many colour photos and maps. It also references relevant guide books and rates them. If you are planning a major climbing holiday in Europe, this is and extremely useful tool. |
