This is a really fun movie, even amidst the horrifying history of the Norwand. Eric Jones is an unlikely hero, looking more the part of his occupation than of his passion, but he got the job done in fine style. If you've ever sat in the comfort of your easy chair, dreaming up an alpine solo adventure, then actually got off yout butt and gone and done it, you know well that the mental aspects of soloing far outweigh the physical. The movie does a fairly good job of depicting the mindset of the soloist.

The movie also gives the viewer a close perspective of the huge scope of the Norwand and its dangers. Leo Dickinson deserves all of the praise that's been heaped upon him over the years - he really stuck his neck out getting the footage on this movie. All told, this movie is a big boost to all of us everyday, normal climbers that want to go out and find adventure.
