This book is a fantastic tool for the more experienced climber to hone their skills with. Whether your penchant is for free trad climbing or mixed or aid climbing then get a hold of this book and devour the feast of knowledge from the master of efficient climbing. A lot of what he talks about in the book a climber will have picked up intuitively or through trial and error (and hopefully not too much error) but the book is good for showing that what we are doing is backed up by theory. I wouldn`t suggest that this book is for the novice climber as most of the techniques described are very advanced. Of course all of the standard disclaimers apply, so don`t go out and buy this book as you`ll more than likely have too much fun out there on the cliff putting into practice his efficient climbing style.
