The version of the Petzl Grillon, that you have is really NOT designed for the application that you plan. Make sure you take some Prusik loops with you as if it works "too well" eg if you fall on to it, you may not be able to rap on it and you will need some way to unload it. Some current versions of the Grillon have a handle like the GriGri.
