I get most of my gear from the USA.... i did an order direct with black Diamond not so long ago and with the strong aussie at the moment, wow what a saving!!! Australia is a rip-off for climbing gear! Eg... my ice axe i ordered direct from BD and it cost be almost 1/3 of the price than in the stores here, and that is after the exchange rate and freight. What i normally do it go to the shops here in Aus get fitted / check out the gear and then get it from the us... HUGE savings... always amazes me the mark up here in Aus when you can get it so cheap at RETAIL prices in the US.
