Gotta say im with the tape for bouldering in this instance - easier to read sequences/ problems and enhances variety. The arguement that you cant see footers is rubbish - normally you will have just climbed over/ off that hold anyway. Also most decent route setters set tape up so that the tape runs off the hold in the direction youll be in sending the problem hence no sight probs. I concede that this can be something of a give away however in terms of knowing how to attack certain probs.
