Yes, I've had a cinch. They suck. Well, they are actually kind of ok. They feed rope to a leader very easily, but lowering or rapping is unpleasant. And mine wore out completely in less than 18 months, to the point where it doesn't lock on the rope anymore. I'm not getting another.
