thing is I've been on the net since it's inception and while there are a number of forums that do suffer from severe trolling, I don't readily associate climbers with it as opposed to say gamers. The reality here though is that there is a pretty vocal, active section of the climbing community that really likes to shove their views in your metaphorical face. It doesn't bother me, as I say, I've dealt with it for a long time, but it does surprise me as the people I meet out climbing are generally really great people.
The amusing thing about my post was that where I live, Sydney, a few beers actually cost MORE then the cost of the wire, no one seemed to pick up on the irony though.
