The break side of the ropes exit the device normally/straight. I do hold the ropes behind my ass though...as I'm pretty sure everyone is taught to do from day one (maybe holding the ropes between my legs will help?)

I'm certainly rapping the same way as I always did...this is the first time I have had this problem, and although not the first time I have used this device for abseiling it is the first time I have used it with this oval biner. Maybe change the biner? First time this problem has happened with my brothers doubles...hence the thoughts it was my belay device.

Temps as well as the climbing are pretty much awesome! A bit cold in the shade and possibly a tad cold at night but otherwise its f---ing perfect. Imagine Nowra on a cold winters day...but then add huge multipitches possibly in the shade
