So I've come to Canada from Australia and didn't bring my rope (too bulky). So i need a new rope/s. I want to climb all over Canada and the States (Squamish, the Bugaboos, Indian creek, Smith rock). With these places in mind i've thought about getting a thing single(9.2-4mm) and then getting a thing half rope(8mm) to go with it for routes in the Bugs and Rockies. However I might be falling on some routes want to start pushing it by the end of the season and onsight a 5.12. Alternatively i could just get a fat 10mm and 2 half ropes, logical but more bulk and money. What are thoughts, experiences and advice? Thanks Nathan Ps.
