The Excalibur is generally considered to be one of the better machines. But they are expensive (~$400). I'm also not sure if they are imported into Australia, but you can get them off ebay. We have a Sunbeam DT5600, which is a cheaper machine than the Excalibur but it is good value and does the job for fruits, veges etc. Not so good if you want to dehydrate whole meals (although we haven't tried that yet to be honest).
