In a pinch, wrapping the rope around your leg gives plenty of friction, depending on your tolerance of discomfort you might feel ok to use it to finish of the last few meters (low friction part) of a rap. A few wraps around and you can stop and free your hands to do something, obviously be careful doing this, keep your leg horizontal. This could be useful if you start down and are feeling uncomfortable with a lack of friction and want to stop to rig something else. |
