I know the Katmandu (crap & spew) reputation, but I've been uber happy with my dryloft jacket and matching sleeping bag.
Bought them both in 4 years ago, and I've got no complaints about either.

As far as mats go - watch out for 2 part foam. ie, when there are 2 separate pieces of foam (so the thing folds up easier), the mat can fold over rocks easier, but is not so effective when your foot lands on the seam, and can fold in unwanted ways.
I think the Metoleus mates have their foam sections mating at 45 degrees, which is a novel solution.
They also use aloy hooks to hold the thing closed. excellent. I'd recommend avoiding plastic buckles or velcro. Neither last very long.
Tools of the adventure (NZ) mats are big and sweet.
