I loved the rock at Freycinet. 6 days jamming in a row and not a piece of tape used.

Back on topic. I placed my Ball nut in anger the other day, on a traversy pitch at Booroomba. Had a pretty floppy draw on it, but I'd set it for a different direction of travel to what I ended up with. The rope gave it a little flick and out she came. So, my point is, use an extendable draw or similar if the direction of force is weird, or alternately, seat the shit out of it when you place it.
That brass surface seems to store quite a bit of tension. Unlike a cam, or even a hex sometimes that feel utterly inflexible when you're seating them, the ballnuts seem able to really be yanked into place. In future, I'll make sure mine's sitting nice and flat in the fall direction, with a long, floppy draw, and jammed hard into position.
