Hi Jane, I had a big ab cut (118mm) a few years ago. a sort of vertical ceasar if you can imagine that. my surgeon told me the ab wall gets 90 % of strength back in 3 weeks. i told her i was a climber & she said keep off for a few more weeks extra at least. i went climbing at 6 weeks- just kept the grades low but i have developed an hernia at one end of the scar which needs to be sorted out some time. So if it were me i would enjoy the baby and keep off boulders as long as i could tolerate not going stir crazy, even go & see your surgeon & have him/her check you over before going out again (they wont give you an absolute OK to protect themselves legally, but they should tell you if they think you are going to hurt yourself). . also be careful picking things up! best wishes
