I had a laternal and medial meniscus tear, left knee operated on on the 1st Oct. My surgeon said I would walk out of surgery and be walking fine in 3 weeks. The reality is that I could hobble a bit initially, but it took about a week before I could walk on it, and about 3 weeks before I could get around comfortably. Since then I've had about 6 sessions with the physio. The knee is fine, however the muscle loss from my left quad has been the thing that needed the most work - lots of time on the bike.
