Sore back from sit harness |

I have been flaring up my low back pain every time I go bolting recently. It seems to happen after prolonged sitting in a harness with all my gear hanging off me. Jumaring makes it even worse.
I've had an idea that maybe if I bought a chest harness the weight would shift to my upper body and might stop it happening.
Not planning to climb in the harness, just use it when hanging around cleaning and preping new routes.
Anybody with any experience or advice?
