I have also screwed my elbows a few times, but not from climbing - although I'm sure the climbing does not do them any good when sore. My injury is a form of tendonitis from playing waterpolo for my (nearly) whole life. Think about throwing a big ball with an overarm action as hard as you can at a set of goals several nights a week, for many years.

Anyway, I had some success in treatment when I saw an American physio who had treated a lot of baseball players for over-throwing injuries, and he decided mine was similar to a person who has thrown too many baseballs. Basically an overstretched bicep tendon, and funnily enough the right arm is much worse than the left. And I am right-handed. Imagine that! So now I have specific warm-up stuff to do (including pre-tensioning the bicep muscle) and exercises. I can keep the pain at a manageable level, except during a tournament when I have to play a few too many high intensity games in a few short days.

So the meaning of this whole post? Find the right physio who can help you out with something that works.
