Okay, about three to four months ago I was pulling a bit too hard on a sloper - I felt my left wrist screaming at me to stop but I just kept on pulling, that day I sent my first g22 - and I did it clean on my first attempt, unfortunately on toprope but I'm not ready for leading things like that yet so I'm still happy with my achievement.

Anyway, not too long after (maybe even the next day) I had a massive lump on the back of my hand between my index finger and thumb tendons - my boss told me it was a ganglier (still don't know how to spell it). I figured I'd let it rest and not climb too hard for a while and it'd go away (I'm not a fan of doctors 'cause I'm a scrooge). It almost went away but lately I've been doing hard climbs again and it's come back with a vengeance.

It feels [i]really[/i] hard!!! Like bone. I've had someone say you hit it with a bible, I had a large folder and was about to smash the thing when they convinced me I'd be better off seeing a doctor - I haven't had the balls to beat it down again and haven't been bothered to see a doc.

Has anyone had one of these before? Does anyone know what it is? Does anyone know how it's treated? I'm off to Araps this weekend so I figure I will probably see a doc after the trip if no-one knows a decent solution ...
