Hey Scott,

I am in Vancouver at the moment with my partner and have been to Squamish a couple of times to do some climibing, mostly in the rain. Suprisingly we didn't really see many other climbers around.

Camping is $9 a night per site in the park. It is on a first come basis. There is another government campsite on Loggers Lane in Squamish but I dont think I would leave my tent and gear there. There is also a private campground called Klahanie campground (http://www.klahaniecampground.com) which is $22 per night for 2 people. This place is about a 15 min walk to the Chief.
As for accomodation in Squamish. Not much. Lots of little hotels and the Squamish International Inn but it is not cheap. Around $35 a night for a dorm. It has great facilitles though and is 10min walk to the Bluffs which has around 300+ mostly single pitch stuff. To the Chief it is about 25 min walk.
