I think that Zubriggins will be out by now.
Andrew and Joseph from Auckland climbed Zubriggens while I was there. (29th Nov I think). They checked out the access the day before, but it still took them 3hrs to get onto the route. It looked like you could get between the East face ice cliffs and the rock band, but according to Joseph they were forced onto the rock for about 60m. Near the top of the face the same thing happened again. They got to the summit rocks and came down.
The East Ridge was definently still in. That would be one of the better routes from the Plateau at the moment.
I walked out over Cinerama, it was fine. Nothing much to tell. It's very quick (30mins) from where you reach the Tasman, to Ball Shelter. Go in a straight line across, rather than head out on the sweep towards the middle of the glacier.
We also did Dixon East Ridge, it was fairly time consuming crossing the schrund - this might be out by now.
The new hut is great. But not much of a library, or hut food stuff, like salt and pepper etc. The door is on the wrong side !
Sorry this news is a few weeks old now, things have certainly changed, who know's- maybe for the better !
