Hmm, suggestions for how to avoid cut-up late-summer glaciers... Yep - go now.. I would think that a lot of things will be cut off within the next few weeks. I climbed Cook two weeks ago and it was a bit of a mission coming down the Linda. We also had to work a fair bit to get across the schrund to access the East Ridge of Dixon - in November ! Getting to Gardiner is also very entertaining at the moment, and will get worse. Sorry.. Maybe aim for more rock routes, which will still be accessable that late in the season - eg West Ridge of Malte, North-West ridge Sefton, Strauchon Face on Dilema.
