The north Jawbones (the most popular climbing spot in the range) has a lot of well protected routes. Climbs like Spielgels Overhang (***10), Bathtime Gurgles (*18), Xenith (*13) follow cracklines and as such are generally well protected. There are a few routes such as Xanthene, Terminal Youth that have a few bolts to keep things sane. A lot of the routes (Whiteline Fever 18 is a good example) have run-out slab sections between good natural gear (which is often in overlaps between the bedding planes).
Compared to the routes on the Sugarloaf, there is oodles of gear.
Come along on Saturday and check it out! |
