Hi Dylan,
If nobody gets back to you on here you have a few options as well that might be worth exploring.
1) if you're at uni see if there is an outdoor club you can join. Melbourne uni and Monash uni both have active clubs that head out climbing so that can be a good place to learn.
2) Join the Victorian Climbing Club (VCC). They have regular outdoors trips you can cut your teeth on and when you're ready they also run learn to lead courses .
3) Hang around at your local gym and try meet the regulars - often people don't mind a tag along on trips, especially if the tag along generously chips in for petrol/beer :) !
