Rubbish. I was born in Dresden, and the weather in April is like the weather in Melbourne at the moment, only about 15 degrees colder. You might be lucky, or it might be so wet and foggy you won't even see the rocks. Take lots of slings, they're the only type of protection allowed on the sandstone. Or head to Frankenjura and enjoy proper bolts. I have a friend in Bayreuth near Frankenjura who happens to be a pretty keen climber - pm me if you'd like his contact details.
