ya thats the route. Have you guys got a name for it ?
I havn't tried the splitter described on the walk in. I have however soloed a nice easy splitter crack on the walk in from langs lookout. Sorta in the vain of fido and rover.

on TR 5 years ago by straying left. As you said the rock is pretty crap over there so i brushed the arete squeaky clean. It follows the dyke to the awesome rounded arete. Chris offered the project to me a few weeks ago. Its a great route and shouldn't be a project "about to be bolted" for over 6 years !!

To my knowledge the carrot on JR has been there since the first ascent. Wade Stevens and Tim Day were the FA's from memory. To my best knowledge nothing has been retro bolted at dogs.

The bolt on scottish rain has also been there since the first ascent, Jeff Shrimpton ?. A hold has broken off the start which is not cool. Putting dodgy gear behind the flake will continue to trash it. Please encourage people to use the bolt !!!
