I agree with Auspep.
Assuming that your experience will limit you to bolted climbs, I would head for Wanaka and Wye Creek (near Queenstown). The crags around Mt Cook have a few bolted moderates. If you could link in with a couple of days at Castle Hill you might find that you don't need a bouldering pad to have fun within your limits. We didn't. You could also head to Payne's Ford up in the north of the south island. I did a trip report a few years ago on our 2+ week jaunt (covering 3500km). I will see if I can find it...
