as an ex-pat American I have some experience getting things shipped from the USA to Australia:
It's nearly impossible to find anyone willing to ship non-commercial quantities on the slow boat - If you have a container load sure - but a couple of packages these day have to go air. And 35Kg of stuff is gonna cost a good 400 or 500 USD - on the plus side - you will get the stuff in a week once it shipps. 1000 is pretty dear - the US Post office has a good calculator on line www.usps.com - oh, and the USPS is way heaps better at shipping stuff than it used to be... |
