The Ascension is one of the best pieces of rock I've ever climbed.

I liked both Hotel California and Mirrorball. Hotel California, by the way, goes at 22 (for the first pitch). Couldn't get that bloody Mikl to tell the truth. Weaselburger is great, as is Bladderhozen (better than weaselburger). Contented cows doesn't make the cut as far as I'm concerened - nice route, but not up there with the others. Smegadeath is my favourite all time climb. I've heard Critical Mass is good - but havent done that yet. it looks fantastic from Mirrorball!!

The grade 10 chimney "Darkside" up between the mirroball pinnacle and the wall is also exceptional. As far as chimneys go - and I HATE chimneys - this is the best ever. Mixed gear - excellent perfectly parallel breaks to plug cams into all the way up the thing. (Second pitch is a bit loose - but should clean up well).

As long as we are talking about sport multipitch routes - there is also Groseness - one of the best too - even the 30minute mountainbike ride to the cliff top is good. Big day, though.
