You're absolutely spot on Neil (from my experience so far anyway). My NSW climbing partner doesn't seem to get excited like I do.....and even though I know he enjoys getting out and climbing, he seems much more laid back. It's just a day here or there...or half day. It drives me nuts! I keep mentioning doing a 2 week pilgrimage to Araps. Driving 4 hours and camping out definitely makes you want to get as much out of it as you can in the time you have.
