Anyone bored enough can find a detailed report on crash involvement by driver age here:
http://digital.library.adelaide.edu.au/dspace/bitstream/2440/37930/3/02chapters1-5.pdf
My summary, taking exposure into account, the 'at fault' driver in crashes is heavily over represented in ages under 25 and over 75.
The under 25's are more likely to have crashes through irresponsibility (speeding, drink driving etc), the over 75's through incompetence (running red lights, missjudging making turns across traffic). |
