We just sold a 2003 Ford Falcon s/w (6 cyl 4.0 L average of about 8.8 L/100km highway) for a 2007 Holden Astra wagon (4 cyl 1.8 L) fuel efficiency 7.3 L/100km to Araps. Much better around the city though. And it passes the sleep test. Compared to the falcon I think that the downgrade in sleeping comfort would be something like a Sofitel to a Formule1 in the Accor hotels series - ie would do the job in a pinch. Needless to say we will be taking a tent from now on.
I am not so sure people that buy Subarus are doing so because they need one (esp 4WD) so much as they see so many of them at the parking lot and think that they must get one. |
