I was competing in a competition in Melbourne for a chemical powered car, and we had this weird electrochemical cell contraption going on. I didn't want to risk the chems we were using for it being tossed about in my bags, so i carried them on in hand luggage. Didn't get asked a single question.
Potassium dichromate and sulfuric acid. Both BIG no-nos, given one is a strong acid and the other is an oxidising agent. Put together they create an explosive mix of ozone and readily self combust, even in the absence of oxygen.
