Voda shares SOME cells with optus.
3 (hutchison) roams to telstra for now. As Patto said, they only have cells in big cities.
voda and hutch (3) just merged and so will probably merge at a retail level soon??next few years???
Telstra has the biggest coverage area by far but are most expensive usually
Voda has the worst coverage area by far and are focusing on bandwidth in capital cities (hence getting hold of hutch) Don't expect a rural rollout any time soon.
Optus is somewhere in between (prob closer to telstra than voda in coverage area)
Different networks can share the same tower but still have separate gear on that tower...blah blah blah...I could go on but it might get boring... |
