This all sounds very iteresting, but can someone tell me how ingesting sodium bicarbonate into a highly acidic stomach is going to increase the pH of blood in peripheral tissue faster than the accumulating lactic acid? Seems like it will be more likely to make you burp and give you an upset stomach. Or is mid-crux burping the next performance enhancing technique? |
