I'd like to see a few of the trees spared with the use of rap stations, however i am worried that it will become a run away train with more and more bolts appearing over the next decade which would dramatically alter the soul of Frog. What one person may perceive as dangerous another may perceive as safe.

I don't like the "heart string" arguments that because someone died on such and such a route, it is labeled as "dangerous" and something needs to be done. We all know full well what the risks and consequences of this sport are.

Personally i like the padded chains around the trees and don't see a need to replace the ones that are still good (the MP one was worth it tho, that tree was FARKING SCARY to descend off). Wind puts far more pressure on the trees than our body weight. Trees that are becoming ring barked should have a padded chain thrown around them.

Sorry Phil, the old school trad baddies aren't going to die out in your life time, there's another generation of us creeping and lurking around just waiting to strike when you're not looking... :P
