The 186 was a pile of crap, push-rod 2 valve per cylinder cast iron tractor engine. In fact every engine Holden has ever made has been rubbish. The best engines to appear in a Holden were built by Nissan; then Pontiac/GM, in that order. The push-rod V6 they offered up for years was absolutely embarrasing, totally unsuitable even as a boat anchor. |
