Some sandstones (mainly at a deeper level) have interesting levels of potential acidity, this seems to occur around the edges of the broader (geologic) Sydney Basin. The examples I am aware of are sorta Conjola / near Nerriga / Lidsdale / lower north coast. Where the relevant layer has been 'oomphed' towards the surface over time. Not a panic type thing but worth keeping in mind.
As an aside I quite enjoy these investigations and musings on bolt decay and replacement; thanks folks. |
