I'm taking a year off work in 2005. I'm not so much interested in checking out girls in skirts but I am certainly considering a lengthy time in S America with a lot of climbing and trekking on the agenda. In fact it was a failed, "I don't really know what I'm doing" attempt on Cotopaxi a few years ago that led me to start learning climbing skills properly. I spent 2 months in S America then. I can get around on my Spanish now but should be reasonably fluent in a years time. I was thinking of starting off in Patagonia in January and working my way north through Bolivia to Peru/ Ecuador by June (then on to N America, then the Himalaya. I'd be interested if you keep me posted. Vanessa
