There's a nice climb about 7m left of Gawkers at Freshwater (near Sydney). It's about 26m, 19, DBB. (Up the centre of the Eastern face of the lower block then up the wall) Have a close look at the layback crack about three quarters of the way up, above the lower block. I didn't notice when I climbed it but this crack goes all the way around a massive overhanging boulder, perhaps 5m x 4m, except for a very short section at the bottom which seems to be holding it up. I've no doubt that it will fall in much less than 10,000 years ... not a good place to be when it does ! |
