When will they ever be updated? A "current" Lysterfield map was surveyed in 1985. The estate that I lived in for 5 years and which was over 15 years old wasn't even on the map. Not very useful when buying a house.
Also note that VicMap 50,000 may differ from 25,000 series. eg Diamantina Spur from High Knob (Mt Feathertop Approach) follows different spurs depending on which series of map you buy. As this is a days hike from anywhere I'd like to be confident that the map I was carrying was accurate.
Bring over the Ordinance Survey from the UK to do a proper job. |
