I got in touch with the BMC re insurance the first time I went to Thailand a few years ago, but, from memory, their prices were prohibitive (I was a struggling student at the time). I used Defence Health, their rates were very low, they had a reputable underwriter, and you don't have to be a member of the ADF. However, they also had the 'no roped climbing' clause. I planned to say I was bouldering if injured. The Australian School of Mountaineering would probably be able to give you some good advice if you wanted a policy covering all aspects of climbing. |
