Have to agree with Dalai on this one... All the great woodies have had MDF holds: Cardigan St, Napier St, Paul Cuthberts weird woody in the spare room, Dave Singleton's woody in the cafe garage... MDF holds are shit but they'll make you work for it. The best advice I could give is try and avoid having all the holds in the same plane or at right angles. Get creative with the orientation and experiment with a jigsaw, have plastic and wood and, above all, leave them be! Don't move the holds for as long as possible, because the longer they are in place, the harder the problems you create will be.
