my brother has finger pain and finger swelling at the joint. He took three months off came back and it wasn't much better, after a while he decided to take a longer break. After six months his fingers did not appear to be improving he went back for another round with the doctors. He went to different specialists and this time got one that told him to resum light activity. He is now back on the rock and does not seem to be any worse off, except when he can't hold himself back from attempting hard stuff. All this has left me a little confused, I have heard it is the difference between tendon and ligament damage, but it is a little bit hard to understand
