Many thanks for your time and effort on this Phil.

I think it will be hard for some people to understand what happened as they won't have seen the deleted posts. I'm just going to say that whilst I'm generally all for minimal censorship (have lobbied for it - and am happy with recent changes - and have deleted only a handful of posts this last year) unfortunately Piggy seems to have taken his attempts to stir things up a bit seriously. I don't think he's got the slightest genuine interest in "freedom of speech" and I doubt very much Piggy and Co expected their posts to be left.

Unfortunately Piggy didn't know when to quit and also tried to make this personal. A nasty PM I received from him was the last straw. Unfortunately Piggy also likes to keep popping up under different aliases. However I see no point disabling a user then letting them in again five minutes later. So, as far I'm concerned, Piggy is now banned from this site. (So don't waste your time Piggy, as now I will most probably also just delete your posts regardless. If you want to discuss it with me then contact me privately).

Unfortunately if that means someone else trying it on in a similar fashion under an alias ends up getting their access disabled - and posts possibly deleted - then I'll apologise in advance to anyone truly innocent - BUT blame "Piggy" because that it is the reason (not because someone might simply say something I don't agree with - hell, I see that all the time around here). Needless to say there's much less chance of that happening if people just posted under their real names.

Anyway, I had roast pork for Christmas lunch. Hmmmm... yummy! And Santa brought me this awesome new Oz Climbing Calendar!!!

(Thanks for asking for that last bit Piggy, I had neglected to mention anything about it).

;-)
