So, did everyone enjoy the invasion of the Arapiles campsite on Thursday/Friday/Saturday by that international film crew? How many big-arsed white trucks does it take to co-ordinate a day of film shooting anyways!!!??

For the record, that was me and my mate Skinny Dave surrounded by trucks, power generators, cables, floodlights, animatronic heads, marquee tents and a million ambling characters talking into headsets etc in the Upper Gums campsite. Ahh, it's great to get away from it all.

Apparently they were shooting a feature-length film based on Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are". Lawd knows what the script looks like as the book is only about 20 lines long, if memory serves. Budget of 80 million (half of it apparently spent on renting trucks) and Tom Hanks as executive producer. If Friday's efforts don't wind up on the cutting room floor, we can look forward to a glimpse of our famous rocks on the big screen ... in 2008...
