There have been several studies now, with results supporting the case that pre exercise stretching does not reduce the frequency of muscular type injuries, several valid scientific reasons for this I understand. The current recommendation is to perform a gentle warm up exercises (possibly called dynamic stretching), rather than doing actual static stretching. |
