Have used a fader sum a few times. Rated for your skinnier rope and seems highly improbable of misfeeding as the rope runs from bottom to top ( both ropes are out the top on gri gri ), handled well. Time will tell on safety I guess. Had a lot of trouble with cinch the few times I used it. Really hard to unlock after fall and handled badly. Bewildered by number of people who continue to use 9-10mm ropes on gri gri as its not rated for such. Have pointed it out to all people I have seen doing so and even more amazing was the fact they already were aware! That weight saving on the rope really worth 1 year out of the game with split heals??? At least buy the appropriate belay device. |
